Hannover Messe, crossroads of automation

Hannover Messe, the world’s leading show for industrial automation, will be held at the Hannover Trade Fair from 17 to 21 April. The central theme will be ‘Industrial Transformation – Making the Difference’, with a focus on the ways in which digitalisation and energy management can make a major contribution to the effort to save resources and reduce carbon emissions. The big challenges facing the world today have one thing in common: they demand high-tech solutions. This year’s edition of Hannover Messe will bring together over 4,000 companies in the mechanical engineering, electronic and electrical engineering industries, and in the field of energy, software and IT. Together, they form an industrial eco-system whose aim is to optimise ways of manufacturing, collaborating and doing business. After Germany, Italy is the second most represented country for exhibiting companies. Hannover Messe 2023 divides into seven display sectors: Automation, Motion & Drives, Digital Ecosystems, Energy Solutions, Engineered Parts & Solutions, Future Hub, Compressed Air & Vacuum, Global Business & Markets. Each will illustrate the main industrial trends of the moment: CO2 -neutral production, Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence and automatic learning, IT security, Logistics 4.0, the circular economy, Energy management and hydrogen and fuel cells. Indonesia, the largest and fastest-growing economic power in the Asean region, is Partner Country at Hannover Messe 2023. Indonesian GDP has recorded an average value of 5% in recent years and the industry’s percentage share of GDP stands at around 40%. The country aims to be one of the ten largest economies in the world by 2030 and one of the top five by 2045.
