Digital inspection The digitalization of the material inspection process increases collaboration and synergy among Saipem, its Vendors, and third-party inspection agencies. Vendors start the workflow in the platform calling for an inspection and interacting with all the stakeholders involved in the activity, such as Saipem and inspection agencies personnel. The solution allows the inspection execution, inclusive of remote witnessing, finaliza- tion of report, management of non-conformances and Punch Lists up to material acceptance. End-to-End (E2E) supply chain visibility Another solution available is the E2E Supply Chain Visibility. It facilitates collaboration and improves visibility over the Supply Chain process and material status to various actors in all project phases - from pro- curement planning up to material delivery at site- for effective data-driven decision making. A collaborative flow and the enhanced data visualiza- tion dashboards: • enables a more effective advance collaboration among project team members for identification and planning of the material requisitions making up the purchasing campaign; • allows more people to have a clear vision of types and quantities of materials needed; • makes easier to follow up and track material status during the entire Supply Chain; • facilitate prompt detection of critical issues and root causes in the process. Advanced work packaging Advanced Work Packaging is a delivery-oriented proj- ect execution solution that aligns Engineering, Pro- curement and Construction along the entire project life cycle to collaborate to define and monitor plan and sequence Construction Work Packages (CWP) in an integrated EPC network . Improved visibility and verification of consistency with construction predecessors and enablers (as incorporated materials and drawings) will reduce misalignment in EPC planning and in adjusting workforce at the construction sites: the app benefits of the integration with engineering tools and Prima- vera planner and helps monitoring the AWP tree defi- nition and planning sequences thanks to integrated dashboards and 3D/4D models. Documents and materials from engineering tools can be easily associated to CWP to build a consistent plan- ning to enable the Workfront Analysis: an advanced algorithm which in turn checks the actual materials sourcing status and engineering drawing progress to ensure their readiness in time, and eventually triggers alarms, ‘what-if’ analysis and corrective actions. 3D plant models are synchronized with the EPC col- laboration platform. Here evolved algorithms allow an automatic sort and color coding of each single part according to its design and procurement status, to con- trol visually work execution package by package and ensure a guided, intuitive, and proactive make-up of construction work front. The 4D simulation shows the progress of construction planning over time, making easier and intuitive early detection of construction sequence clashes and plan- ning issues, improving predictability of delivery. The ‘What-if’ Analysis is a powerful decision-making simulation feature that helps project team understand what kind of impacts can arise from changing one or more variables such as Materials orders, Documents issue dates or the CWP sequence. These features boost wider teams’ collaboration, rais- ing their ability to plan and monitor constantly the con- sistency and effectiveness of EPC project execution, the timely availability of documents and materials, and enhance awareness of current progress status, support to trustful forecasts, and root-cause analysis. Change management It is an integrated tool to support the management of Scope , Cost or Schedule deviations versus the initial baseline along the project life cycle, the timely recog- nition and administration of changes and a stronger integration with Risk Management Process .
