CONTROLLO Tecnica 94 Maggio 2022 n Automazione e Strumentazione SAIPEM: FOCUS ON EPC INTEGRATION CLUSTER A case of Digital Transformation To be successful in an increasingly connected and digital world, organizations must transform their business models. Saipem has started its digital transformation program in 2019 and set up a roadmap. Key enabling technologies and processes to upgrade have been identified. New digital solutions developed with the Agile Methodology and Design Thinking techniques are now being deployed. Figure 1 - AWP Dashboard integrated with 3D/4D Model NOTA AUTORI M. Saipem’s approach has focused on specific use cases in line with the objectives of its organization to suc- ceed faster and then deploy solutions to the rest of the company. So, different ongoing Digital initiatives have been mapped, rationalized in clusters, and prior- itized based on added value for Saipem. Then, devel- opment activities have been kicked-off. This article presents the results of the ‘EPC Integra- tion’ cluster, meant to bring to value a series of digital solutions to support Saipem’s EPC projects. Requirement management This solution assists the process of identifying, col- lecting and documenting Client’s needs to improve quality and efficiency in the contract analysis and in the requirements management itself. The solution pro- vides a repository for those Contract Requirements deemed critical and a tracked workflow to assign an owner to each Contract part and requirement. Recip- rocal links between mapped requests and key Project Deliverables are guaranteed. Other benefits: enhanced steering on a clearer Scope of Work, more efficient
